Civil War Naval Novels
Civil War navies have never been as popular in fiction or nonfiction as Civil War armies, but a few novels exist, particularly juveniles from the immediate war and postwar periods. Naval novels have always been a staple of boys' adventure stories, and their themes lent them to ready adaptation to Civil War action.
