The term paper for ENGL will be 8-10 pages long in MLA style. Your job is to discuss the "cultural work" of a literary text about Jackie Robinson, using as much cultural, historical, and artistic context as possible. Each student will discuss a different text. On the 22nd, 27th, and 29th of April, students will give seminar reports to the entire class, presenting their texts and their ideas about them. The final paper is due on 6 May. The final paper should refer to as many of the texts your classmates have presented on as possible, as well as to anything else from the course material (or outside the course material) as you deem relevant.
